Dead Men Tell Tales


Parasight's pirate game Davy x Jones, currently available in early access, received a new game mode in the form of the Kraken Hunt update.


First it introduces a roguelite mode were we can, and I quote :


New Roguelite Hunts, Crew & Orders


  • The Hunt Begins: Prepare for new, evolving Sky Encounters as you chart your path towards the legendary Behemoth. You'll face new enemies, dangers, and make tactical choices that'll change your run in many ways - how you fight and what type of arsenal you have at your disposal.

  • Gather your Crew: Build your flying arsenal. Each member brings a unique power to Abby — from devastating attacks, new cannons, to lifesaving support. Recruit them across the islands, then level them up to strengthen your ship and survive the storm ahead.

  • ORDERS: Each member of the Crew can obtain a special run-defining perks which you'll upgrade during your hunts. Focus on raw cannon power, sheer defense, or tactical mobility - Your Orders are now more vital than ever to build a winning composition.

And even more things awaits you on your journey...


They also reworked the combat system and many things based upon players feedback.

Cheaper than drugs and as addictive, this very indie game (developed by two people) is the discovery of the week. Charming and very well thought, you can try it for yourself or watch me falling in love.


Planned release for 2026 and I will be there.
